The Niagara Health Foundation is incredibly honoured to recognize the McCall MacBain Foundation for their donation of five million dollars to the It’s Our Future campaign.
The McCall MacBain Foundation founded by John McCall MacBain and Dr. Marcy McCall MacBain in 2007 exists with a mission to improve the welfare of humanity by providing scholarships and other educational opportunities. John McCall MacBain, Founder, Director and the Chair of the McCall MacBain Foundation was born and raised in Niagara Falls and has been a long-time supporter of the city. For his achievements as a business leader and for his contributions to academic institutions as a philanthropist, Mr. McCall MacBain was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2016. Dr. Marcy McCall MacBain, Founder, Director and the Vice-Chair of the McCall MacBain Foundation has an academic interest in the areas of effective management and prevention of chronic diseases. In addition to supervising students in the MSc of Evidence-based Health Care program, Dr. McCall MacBain serves as a member of the Geneva Committee of Human Rights Watch and on the board of B2ten.
The McCall MacBain Foundation is pleased to contribute to the planning, design, and construction of the new South Niagara Site, and more specifically the building of a 175-seat teaching auditorium that will enable on-site educational learning for medical students and current healthcare professionals. In recognition of this generous donation, the Auditorium in the Interprofessional and Learning Centre will be named “The MacBain Family Auditorium”.
